Adelaide, Oh Adelaide
Adelaide is all about sign writers and hydroponics. And Escort Reds. I used to smoke cigarettes. I used to smoke in no particular order, Champion Ruby rollies, Winfield Blues, Dunhill Reds, Peter Stuyvesant Filters and any other cigarette someone else would give me. In all my time smoking outside of Adelaide, i never once saw anyone...
hrmph...excuse me. I feel compelled to step in here. Stay calm ladies and gentlemen. This post has been taken over. Do not panic. You will be in safe hands...so long as my demands are met.
First, i require that we all take some time to reflect on the good things about adelaide. It wont take long, just humour me....now, no other city in Australia (that i know of...please correct me readers, if you discover another such town) has drive-thru convenience stores. People in Adelaide like to stay in their cars... even my 83 year old grandfather (rest his soul), with no feeling in his legs below the knees or feeling in his hands refused to give up his licence. Many would remember that yellow commodore and fear it.
The pub near Peteys ancestoral home has a 4 lane drive through bottle shop. I'm not sure what the drive-thru convenience store had to offer. Couldn't be bothered getting out of the car.
TRHE
ps. Petey promises to post a somewhat more lucid post tomorrow. He has many things to report. Including Adelaide, Thursday nights in Sydney and the races in Carrathool.
