Agrarian Socialists ! Puhlease, not while i'm eating ..
Occasionally, in between episodes of the new best selling Sushi Train serial, I like to amuse myself with a little bit of political commentary ..
Ssome of you may know of, Barnaby Joyce, the only known surviving member of the National party, ( yes, it's pronounced Nash-un-el, just like you thought it would be and yes, i know, i hadn't heard of the national Party either .) I did a little bit of research and apparently, and you could've lickspittled my butt with a rasp, the National Party hold 12 seats in the House of Reps and have 5 senators. Sheeyat ! Who are these people. Well, i don't know. Look em up on their website .. but anyhow, they sort of are like the political party for the country aka the bush aka that part of Australia that starts past Penrith .. so, you can see, um, that's what they are all about ..
now, what gets me happening is that with the sale of Telstra being all the talk and some Nash-un-els saying "we want money for the bush, we want money for the bush !!", some Liberal MP's/Senators are all of a sudden going class warrior and accusing the Nash-un-els of being "Agarian socialists."
This quaint old concept is just short hand for saying - well, let that conservative early morning jogger, Janet Albrechtsen, talk for a while -

Clear now. Anyhow, what gets me drinking a little too much coffee, is while "the jogger" can carry on about propping up the country blah, blah, blah with "big city money" I eagerly await the article from any of the conservative thinkeratsia explaining why paying family tax benefit B to Mosman housewives who pay tennis and cheat on their husbands while they're interstate all week working 20 hour days to pay of the new pool, isnt North Shore Socialism of an even more egregious sort.

And what got me started on all this is this article, i'm full of articles today,
Howard in bed with dole bludgers but don't tell the wife .
Ha ! what would Tony Abbot, say ? At least Latham - remember him ? i think he's mowing lawns in Campbelltown now - had the cajones to come up and say he wanted to do something about getting people of welfare .. and of course he died in a ditch. a lesson for us all .... all Howard does is say, i want to do something about getting people of welfare, get of welfare and essentially just keeps paying welfare. Just to different punters that's all.
